Long before the invention of the combustion engine Africa was explored on foot, using a network of trails carved out over countless millennia by wildlife moving between water and food sources. Camps were simple and arranged around a campfire for warmth and protection. This is how the "safari" began. And where it is slowly returning to, having come full circle.


Our safari experiences are designed to reflect those humble beginnings and offer a unique way of connecting with the African wilderness that gives you a complete sense of "belonging" and becoming one with the environment around you, building bonds with Planet Earth in the process. Whether walking in the wild or just sitting with your friends and family around a crackling fire beneath a billion stars in a vaulted night sky, the memories will stay with you forever.

A safari is not a race. It shouldn't be experienced at speed. Nor is it a training camp with gruelling hours and drill sergeants. We believe in the ethos of a slow safari, where you get to savour each moment on your own terms, enjoying that first cup of coffee around the campfire without feeling the need to bolt it down and get going, walking at your own pace, resting when you want to, finding your own rhythm... 


Our safaris are based in intimate bush camps that we know and love, and because you and your friends and family are the only ones "in camp" you get to find that rhythm easily, adjusting to the rising and setting of the sun and experiencing Africa the way it should be experienced - naturally.
